Abdo Hassoun is the founder of Sustainable AgriFoodtech Innovation & Research (SAFIR), a non-profit research organisation that works in collaboration with other notable partners to contribute to addressing food sustainability issues and making food healthier and more affordable. He completed his Ph.D. in 2016 in France and carried out his postdoctoral research work at the Norwegian Food Research Institute (Nofima). Dr. Hassoun has also experience from the University of the Littoral Opal Coast in France (ULCO). He has been among the first researchers who explore the potential of Industry 4.0 and emerging technologies in agriculture and the food industry. He serves as an Editorial Board Member and Guest Editor of several international journals and has contributed to numerous scientific publications.
