Prof. Francisco J. Barba

Francisco J. Barba holds an European Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology at University of Valencia and he hold degrees in Pharmacy and in Food Science and Technology. He is a full professor in Food Science and Nutrition Area, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Valencia. His research focus is on non-conventional processing for preservation and/or extraction of bioactive compounds from food. His major research areas are the recovery of bioactive compounds by using non-conventional methods and evaluating the effects of emerging technologies on nutritional and quality parameters of liquid foods.
