Dr Anne Nugent

A Registered Public Health Nutritionist, research interests fall within the area of public health nutrition, specifically collecting and examining data arising from national food consumption surveys such as intakes of foods, dietary supplements, food ingredients and nutrients.  Also interested in relating this data to health outcomes including biomarkers of nutritional status and of metabolic health. A specific research interest is in modelling risk of exposure to food borne chemicals, she is experienced in the dissemination of public health messages using a variety of media. She is currently Secretary of the Irish Section of the Nutrition Society and a member of the Public Health Nutrition Subcommittee at the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
