Andras Sebők, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Israel
Andras Sebők is the general manager of Campden BRI Magyarország Nonprofit Kft. His experience includes the management of R+D, training and advisory and technology transfer programs including several international ones and translation of results in new product development, new processing methods and market research, into industrial application especially at SMEs. His current research area is covering microbiological risk assessment related to chilled and minimal processed foods, shelf-life evaluation, validation and verification of processes, resource efficiency, waste and cost reduction, application of advanced manufacturing and ICT solutions in the food sector, traceability, transparency, traditional foods, food chain management techniques.
He is the Chairman of the Research and Innovation expert group of the FoodDrinkEurope,. Vice-Chairman of the European collaboration of the National Food Technology Platforms (NTPs), Scientific Coordinator of the Hungarian National Food Technology Platform. He is the Hungarian representative in the EUREKA EuroAgri Foodchain 2. umbrella.
He has significant project management experience and has participated in several Hungarian, European and other international research and capacity building projects.
Author of several books, sections of books, university textbooks and GHP. He is the editor and one the authors of the Guideline on Effective knowledge and technology transfer activities to SMEs in the food sector, and the Best Practice Guide on Food Transparency and an industry guide on “Good practice on developing food products with health claims”. He is the editor of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda of the NFTPs on fostering the innovation of and knowledge transfer to SMEs.
