Hugo Marynissen

Cecilia Díaz-Méndez is professor of Sociology at the University of Oviedo (Spain). Since 1996 her main lecturing topic has been Sociology of Consumption and leads the Research Group of Sociology of Food Her research projects and publications are focused on the food habit changes in modern societies. She belongs to the scientific committee of the Spanish agency for consume, food safety and nutrition (AECOSAN) in which she was vice president until 2016. At the moment she's doing a research stay at the Cambridge University in the Centre for Diet and Activity Research (CEDAR), where she is developing a longitudinal qualitative sociological analysis that could be implemented within the field of epidemiology.
